Wilmington’s Historic Downtown is a gem for our area! It’s full of cultural opportunities, like Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts and the Wilson Center, along with private art galleries, shops, boutiques, great restaurants, nightlife and more. Live Oak Bank Pavilion and riverfront park is also a focal point for many downtown activities, and hosts amazing concerts and entertainment events throughout the year.
Adding to the riverfront’s appeal is the River Walk, a scenic brick and wooden deck walkway along Water Street on the Cape Fear River. Antique lighting, tree lined streets, and mini-parks combine to create a downtown amenity not found anywhere else in the city and making it the perfect backdrop for Riverfest.
