Landfall and Airlie are active communities in North Carolina in New Hanover County near Wrightsville Beach and Wilmington. Bluewater Waterfront Grill is a dining option that serves seafood and steaks and offers live music and outdoor dining. For shopping, Mayfaire is a high-end mall with many restaurants and shops. The Forum ILM is another shopping mall with upscale boutiques and delicious restaurants. Both malls include shops that cover just about everything, from high-end boutiques with unique finds to everyday staples from well-loved and well-known brands.


Landfall and Airlie have many community events to come together and support local businesses and groups throughout the year.  The annual Landfall Foundation Gala is a memorable event with drinks, upscale cuisine, a live auction, music, and more. Airlie Gardens is a 67-acre botanical garden that aims to educate and preserve. The park offers guided tours, summer concert series, exhibits, and events like Enchanted Airlie, a holiday tradition with lights around the gardens.


New Hanover County Schools is a public education system that serves areas in New Hanover County, including Landfall and Airlie. The district has 530 national board-certified teachers in 45 schools and serves more than 26,000 students. The schools are proud to have a high graduation rate and collaborate with parents and community members to provide superior programs and a positive learning environment.
